All reservations are made through Reserve America.
If you have general reservation questions or need help modifying a reservation less than 3 days prior to arrival, email us at reserve@vahighlandhaven.com. Please note that all reservations need to be made and paid for via Reserve America!
Rates
Our camping rates for 2023 are:
- 1st night’s stay of the season: $25 seasonal membership fee + $12 discounted 1st night’s stay = $37 plus taxes
- Subsequent nights: $37 per night plus taxes
If you cancel your reservation, there will be a $37 cancellation fee from Reserve America. All reservations must now be paid in advance per Reserve America.

Checkout time is 12 noon.
Operating Season
The campground is open from May 1 to October 15 each year. Demand is high for sites, particularly on weekends, so advance reservations are strongly suggested. We are not open for seasonal member reservations from the Wednesday before Labor Day to the Tuesday after Labor Day since we have our annual Stockholder's Weekend and business meeting.
Other Information
• Please check in with the volunteer park host upon arrival. The host will show you to your site. We offer the choice of a preferred site, but may need to assign a different one before you arrive in the park due to stockholder occupancy scheduling.
• All sites include water, 30 amp electricity, and sewer hookups. Wifi is available throughout the camping area at no charge. Over-the-air television station reception is excellent due to the elevation of the park. We do not have a bath house, so campers are expected to use the bathroom facilities in their trailer/motorhome.
• Only travel trailers and motorhomes produced by Airstream, Inc. are permitted in the park.
• Virginia Highland Haven is a pet friendly park. We allow a maximum of two non aggressive pets (dogs or cats) per site. Leashes are required around the camping areas but a designated leash-free area is available - ask the host on checkin.
• Due to the danger of fire and sparks, as well as the possible annoyance of smoke, no wood fires are allowed. Propane fire pits are welcome, however.
• Campers arriving after dark will be asked to camp in the clubhouse parking lot overnight and moved to their site in the morning unless prior arrangements are made with the host (at the discretion of the host). This policy is due to safety concerns of parking in a mountaintop campground at night as well as to minimize disruptions to other campers.
