About Virginia Highland Haven

Park History

In 1970 several members of the WBCCI Virginia Unit purchased a 75 acre farm in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern Virginia. They organized Virginia Highland Haven as a nonprofit 501(c)7 social club dedicated to promoting the common bond exclusively among Airstream owners. Through a private stock offering, and their own labor, they obtained the resources to construct a 46 site full hookup campground along a ridge line on the property.  The vision of the original forty-six founding stockholders, as well as the good stewardship of stockholders who followed, have allowed Virginia Highland Haven to continue as a premier camping destination for the Airstream community for over half a century. Be sure to check out the video history of the park!

Membership Opportunities

As a nonprofit social club, membership is required to camp in the park.  The first level of membership is “Seasonal Member”, which allows an Airstream owner to make a reservation to camp and enjoy all the amenities and social activities of our park. Payment of annual membership dues is facilitated by the reservation process. For more information, see our reservation page. The second level of membership is Stockholder Member.

Ownership Opportunities

Once Highland Haven campers fully immerse themselves in the social camaraderie and scenic beauty of the park, some determine ownership in the campground will greatly enhance and complement their Airstream lifestyle.  Ownership involves becoming a Stockholder Member.  The park is fully developed so no new shares of stock are being issued.  However, from time to time Stockholder Members elect to sell shares.  If you are interested in learning more  about the benefits of becoming a Stockholder Member, the requirements for ownership, and the procedure for purchasing a share of stock when it comes on the market - click to obtain more information
